Paver Stone Walkway Installations
While paver installations are quicker and far more straightforward than concrete or natural stone slab installations, they too need skill and attention to detail. As a paving company with decades of experience behind us, we have the knowledge, expertise, and the resources to tackle all types of paver walkway installation projects of any shape and size. This is the work process we follow:
- Our paver installers will excavate the soil in the space designated for the walkway.
- They will install a compacted sand/gravel base of the required thickness.
- Over this will come a thin layer of sand, which provides a leveled and smooth base for the paver stones.
- They will then install the natural stone, interlocking concrete pavers or bricks on these surfaces, in the patterns you have approved during the walkway design and planning phase.
- We will then install edging in stone or concrete.
- Once all the units & the edging are set, we use a special place-compactor machine to compact the pavers down on the base correctly.
- We may also sand the joints & apply a surface sealant. However, these tasks are typically handled a few weeks after the installation, as it allows the pavers to set in place properly.
