While paver installations are quicker and far more straightforward than concrete or natural stone slab installations, they still need skill and attention to detail. This is the work process we follow:

• Our paver installers will excavate the soil in the space designated for the walkway.
• They will install a compacted sand/gravel base of the required thickness.
• Over this will be a thin layer of sand, which provides a level and smooth base for the paver stones.
• They will then install the natural stone, interlocking concrete pavers or bricks on this base, in the patterns you have approved during the walkway design and planning phase.
• We will then install edging in stone or concrete.
• Once all the units and edging are set, we use a special plate compactor machine to compact the pavers down onto the base correctly.
• We may also sand the joints and apply a surface sealant. However, these tasks are typically handled a few weeks after the installation, as this allows the pavers to properly set in place.
