Frequently Asked Questions

1. How long have you been around?
We have been beautifying Long Island since 1962!

2. You seem to be very qualified, very advanced, and the right company for our project. Are you more expensive because of this?
No, we are actually usually lower. Even though we have a fully staffed office, the most up to date methods and equipment, professionally skilled and uniformed crews, and the highest quality standards and materials, we keep our prices low because:
a. we buy material and equipment in bulk
b. we prepay for many of these items
c. our methods and skills help us finish jobs in a more timely and efficient manner
d. we reduce waste
e. we have lower advertisement costs since most of our work is word of mouth!

3. How many men can I expect on the job?
Depending on the size and scope of the project, there may be anywhere between 2-20 skilled workers on the job site.

4. How soon can the work be done?
Depending on the workload and season, work can usually be started between 1-6 weeks. We give an approximate time of start.

It is tough to give an exact date since every job is different. Sometimes projects finish earlier or later than anticipated (clients add on or remove to the project). Weather also plays an important role. Since a majority of our work is outdoors, any inclement weather will set us back and cause a delay in scheduling. Even though it might only rain for a day or two, the earth is sometimes too saturated for certain work to be performed.

5. How long does the job take?
Most jobs are completed with 1-2 days. Most larger jobs are finished in a week. Don't worry, we're not rushing your job! We work with the most up to date equipment and technology that makes work simpler and we come with a fully skilled crew. You will have 4 to 6 workers on the job with heavy equipment instead of some companies that only bring 1 or 2 with hammers and dumpsters.

6. I spilled something on the surface of my asphalt, concrete or brick, what can I do?
Depending on what it is most items will come off right away if you treat it right away with a little soap and water. If it's a tougher stain or has been there for a while you can try using specialized cleaners or power washing. If it still doesn't come out you can seal the asphalt or replace a few brick pavers.

7. Will there be a dumpster in front of my house?
No! We have a fleet of our own dump trucks which makes it faster and easier for the debris to be transported. You don't have to have a hideous dumpster blocking parking, causing safety concerns and disturbance for weeks.
